INFORMATION IN ENGLISH
Skånes climbing club (SKK) is a non-profit organisation with about 350 members.
Our main goal is to support all forms of climbing in the region, and act as a social
hub for everyone with an interest in climbing.
To climb at our climbing wall in Lund (Östratornsvägen 2) you can either pay 40
SEK each time or become a member and buy a training card.
You pay the membership fee once per year (valid from January-December, i.e. the
same fee regardless of when during the year you join). The membership fee is 350
SEK per year.
As a first-time member you register yourself on the homepage by filling out the
form (see link "Bli Medlem" or click
here).
If you don't have a Swedish personal identity number you fill the textbox 'Personnummer'
with your date of birth and four zeros in the format YYMMDD-0000. When you have
filled out the form and clicked the button 'Betala' (pay) you will be rederict to
PayEx, who takes care of the money transfer. As a member you can
log in
and buy training cards and renew you membership.
If you want to meet new climbing friends, a good way is to become involved in the
club. Skånes climbing club association is a non-profit organization and we need
help from our members. Talk to people at the climbing wall to find out more about
how you can contribute. Or contact the Human Resources Manager (See "Personalansvarig"
under
"Personal/Kontakt"
in the menu for contact information).
TRAINING CARD
Only members of SKK can buy training cards. The card, which buy once per semester,
gives you access to climb as much as you like during regular opening hours (not
Saturdays) and is valid January-June or September-December. The training card costs
300 SEK per semester.
With a training card, you get a sticker that you attach to one of the following
cards:
Toprope card (green): Allows you to belay someone who is climbing on toprope.
Lead card (red): Allows you to lead, and belay someone who climbs on lead.
Boulder card (white): Allows you to climb on the boulder wall and climb toprope
(if someone with green or red card belays). This is mostly a temporary card, until
you have taken a course or passed a climbing test for one of the other cards.
To receive a toprope- or lead card, you first have to demonstrate to an instructor
that you have the required skills. Talk to someone at the climbing wall about this!
If you are a beginner, we recommend that you take a course.
Don't forget to bring your payment code the first time. Then you get the sticker. The
card with the sticker should be placed where it is clearly visible, e.g., on your harness
or chalk bag. The code will be in the e-mail receipt or you can find it under "Min
profil" and "Medlemskap" when you are logged in.
